This is my portrait of Gretel of Hansel and Gretel. (Hansel portrait will is listed separately.) I found these oval frames at a thrift store and grabbed them up because I knew I wanted to do some portraits of some fairy tale characters! They were an ugly putty color, but I painted them dark brown with a gold over that to give a gold leaf look. The frames seem to be hand made, poured into a mold, so they aren't perfect, but I think that adds to the old look. I painted Hansel with acrylics & oil pastels. I did a little bit of a crackle finish, but it is subtle and you may not see it in the photos. After that, I antiqued it and hopefully it reminds you of an old portrait that would be hanging on someone's wall. This is a one of a kind design painted by me and comes signed & dated. Frame measures 15.75 x 13".
